Drake's Sprite Commercial

Drizzy has officially gone mainstream with this Sprite commercial. Featuring the beat by our homie Boi-1da for "Forever" the commercial shows how Sprite saves the day in the studio. LoL. Cute concept. Congrats to Drake on all his continued success.

We Are The World 25 Years for Haiti....WHY??

Of course I am all for helping Haiti, we have covered many stories relating to Haiti. We have posted websites and phone numbers and tweeted countless of times to bring awareness to the situation in Haiti. But, with all due respect, I really feel that this song should not have been remade. Not in this way. A few observations:

1) Why did Justin Beiber start the song...I respect the young Canadian but there were many other deserving singers
2) Why was auto-tune spotlighted twice when singers like Celine Dion (who is very talented whether you like her genre or not) did not?
3) Why is the rap that is included from LL Cool J sound like it belongs in a battle?
4) Why was Miley Cyrus included on the track....really? Miley Cyrus?
5) Throwing in a horribly incorporated image of Michael Jackson doesn't make up for what they did to this song.
6) Oh, and doing a Ray Charles impression on a tribute track? REALLY Jamie Foxx, REALLY? This isnt a comedy skit

I tried to be respectful with this post. It was difficult but everyone is entitled to their opinion. What's yours?

Erykah Badu & Lil Wayne: Jump In The Air

It's an Erykah Badu kaleidoscope, literally. Lots of colors and shapes that are in fact that top of Erykah's and Wayne's heads. LoL. Interesting yet annoying imagery. Excited to see what Erykah comes up with for the song "Window Seat." Enjoy that one a little bit more.

Harvey Stripes ft. Jay Vado: Material Girl

With a storyline that draws its inspiration from "Pretty Woman" Ottawa-raised, Toronto-based rapper Harvey Stripes releases his latest video for the single "Material Girl." The video takes us through Harvey meeting what appears to be a promiscuous girls and literally taking her from the hood to the lavish life with shopping sprees, champagne and a lovely home. And then things go left....watch for the twist ending. Nicely done Mr. Stripes.

LeToya Luckett: Good To Me

Letoya Luckett releases the video for her latest single "Good To Me." The video is all built dude meeting her, charming her, rolling around on a bed with her and so on. It's cute. Not original, but cute. And they do a good job of making Letoya look like she's hella warm in her little button down shirt, the ish was actually shot in the middle of Dec.

RIP Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen, the 40-year-old British fashion designer known for producing some of the most controversial collections of the last two decades, was found dead Thursday morning at his apartment in London. The cause was apparently suicide, though Mr. Edward Filipowski, a parter in the public relations firm that represented the designer, said Mr. McQueen’s family had not yet made a statement about the cause.
Mr. McQueen’s troubled personal life was often the subject of concern among his colleagues and close friends. He was deeply affected when Isabella Blow, the eccentric stylist who discovered and championed him, committed suicide in 2007, and he was said to be devastated by the death of his mother on Feb. 2.
Mr. McQueen was known for his lavish runway productions that included clothes made with animal bones and models made to look as if they were patients in a mental ward or participants in a life-sized chess match. Yet he was a tailor of the highest order, making impeccably shaped suits that were also surprisingly commercial.

RiRi Gets Funky & Roars On The Red Carpet

Rihanna is in Seoul, South Korea promoting her album. She had a press conference yesterday, complete with cake. She wore a pink gathered tulle skirt by Isaac Mizrahi, paired with an edgy black Alexandre Vauthier couture blazer and uber cute Giuseppe Zanotti booties. Love, love, love it. She then went to a mall and roared on the red carpet. She rocked a leopard print hoodie, complete with a tail and cat faced-hood. RiRi paired it with black snakeskin leggings and thigh high black boots with a fringed back seam.
