Drake Postpones European Tour

Toronto rapper Drake has cancelled his European tour due to his mother having surgery. Drake decided that it would be better to stay in Canada and support her. He issued the following statement regarding the cancellation:

Despite my best hopes, it is apparent that my mother will need surgery earlier than anticipated. In light of this news, I have made the difficult decision to cancel my European tour in order to support her during her recovery, just as she supported me through the years.
I cannot thank my European fans enough and look forward to performing abroad soon. I ask everyone to please respect my family's privacy during this time.

We have Drake's mom in our prayers and wish her a very speedy recovery.

Nicki Minaj Hits the Top of the Charts

The last time a female was on top of the Rap Charts was 2002. That female was Missy Elliott with her song "Work It." After that Lil Kim was assisted by 50 Cent and reached the top with "Magic Stick". But Missy was the last unassisted female.
Now, Nicki Minaj has put the females back on top with her single "Your Love." It is the rappers first No. 1! Huge congrats to her. It was a long time coming.

Lindsay Lohan Gets Punched in the Face

Lindsay Lohan was punched by a waitress at L.A. club Voyeur early Friday morning — her 24th birthday. “A waitress just hit me – punched me for no reason,” the actress Twittered around 1 a.m. PTA witness tells UsMagazine.com that Lohan — who sipped Red Bulls and hid her SCRAM bracelet with thigh-high boots — wasn’t exaggerating.
“The waitress has a history with Doug Reinhardt, and Lohan was hanging out with him. She was jealous, and out of nowhere, the waitress punched her in the face!” the insider tells Us. “Doug didn’t want any part of it and went to the other side of the booth. Lohan ran out.” The night didn’t get better from there. Lohan went to a party at the nearby Rockstar House — and ran into the waitress again! “Lohan showed up and cried because the waitress was there as well,” says another source. “Some birthday.”

I dunno whether to laugh or feel sorry for Lindsay...so instead I'll just *smh* *le sigh* *blank stare* *side eye*. That is all.

M.I.A. was spotted in NYC with her 18-month-old son Ikhyd, who is a total cutie! While the cutie pie is being raised in L.A. because M.I.A wanted a home big enough to house her friends and her son, they were in NYC for a visit. Too cute.

Chris Brown Used Eye Drops to Cry?

Everyone was buzzing how Chris Brown was set to make a comeback after his moving tribute to Michael Jackson at Sunday night’s BET Awards show, but Breezy detractors say his tears were fake! Here's how USMagazine.com is reporting it:

Before he took the stage to belt out “Man in the Mirror,” a backstage source tells Us one of Brown’s bodyguards gave the singer, 21, tear-inducing eye drops.
Brown’s rep denies it, telling Us that Brown simply “was moved by the opportunity to pay tribute to his idol.” But the witness says Brown definitely used drops. Says the source, “He rubbed it in and he started crying.”

Mannnnn okay, so they gave these eye-drops to him when exactly? When he was dancing the whole time? When no one else was back stage (Cause you know that happens ALL THE TIME...*sense the sarcasm here kids*)? Or maybe the bodyguard put the eye-drops in himself....riiiiiight. This all sounds way to suspect even for me.

Kim K's New Toy?

The latest Kim K dating rumours have her moving on from Reggie Bush, right into the arms of another NFL baller named Miles Austin, a Dallas Cowboy from New Jersey. Well, last night, the two were caught having their first public night out in NYC last night.
Miles Austin tried to hide their first public appearance but cameras caught the duo around the Meatpacking District after their date night with friends at STK. AND they headed back to her hotel together. Ow! Grown folk business...

Janelle Monae ft. BOB & Lupe: Tight Rope (Remix)

Lupe Fiasco and BOB join eclectic chick Janelle Monae for a remix of her song "Tight Rope." The video doesn't have any real concept, just three musicians rocking out, but it's aesthetically-pleasing anyway. I think Janelle Monae is cute as a button and I've wanted her in CreamWorld magazine for the longest. Now that her career is soaring hopefully she'll be doing some Canadian press.
