The-Dream Addresses His Failed Marriage

All week, we've been reporting on the separation between The-Dream and Christina Milian after photos came out of The-Dream getting up close and personal with his assistant on a beach. Well, I have a feeling this is just the beginning of the drama because I bet the divorce proceedings will also be made very public, as they usually are with celebs. Either way, The-Dream has now taken to his website to lament the failed relationships. Here's what he had to say:

First I want to thank God for the trials of life, without them we can’t know purpose!

I would love to tell the truth as to why my relationship wasn’t successful, but today that is between me and Christina. Its easy to say that it’s because of another woman or a new relationship but truthfully, IT’S NOT.

I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for misleading everyone into thinking everything was fine and okay when we knew problems existed for awhile! I wanted to speak up but we decided it wasn’t for anyone to know. I would NEVER intentionally hurt a soul and everyone around me knows that! There was so much going on in me and Christina’s personal world that I tried to deal with it as delicately as I could and tried to regain my footing. Instead of being direct in order not to cause even more hurt or hurt someone’s feelings, I carried the weight in secret!

I am Human and people fall in and out of Love all the time… This is Life. Nothing’s promised or perfect, neither am I. I am not proud that I lost something we once had…LOVE! I’ve always been a Loving Father, Hard Worker, Generous, Stern and Eager to prove myself. My faults are I can be irresponsible and an ass sometimes, but I HAVE NEVER and WILL NEVER be a malicious person or wish harm to anyone, especially those I love or the mother of my child. I’m sorry for the embarrassment to everyone involved! If there’s anyone to blame and you can’t fathom this happening, please blame me and me alone for not being upfront! Even though we were trying to overcome personal things between us, I was just simply scared and embarrassed to let everyone know we WERE FAILING and HAVE NOW FAILED!

This is not to justify anything, it’s true emotion! It’s a real thing that involves real people! I’ve cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I’ve tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming.

But I was reminded by my MOTHER that I am not “Superman” and its okay to lose sometimes…

This too shall pass! And everything will be fine!

Hmmm now suicide is a VERY sensitive topic, but mentioning it in an open letter on your website...really? If he did try to attempt suicide, I sincerely hope he gets the help he needs. As for Christina, I hope she runs for the hills because this is a mess. Best of luck to both of them and I hope they keep it civilized for the baby.

Lil Wayne May Be Out Early...

Well, well, well, guess who might be saying goodbye to Rikers earlier than expected. Lil Wayne may be walking out in November on good behaviour. That means he'll have served 9 months of his year old jail sentence after going in in early March. If Weezy behaves he'll be heading home on Nov. 4. Jae Millz had some interesting thoughts about Weezy’s return:

"I hear when he comes home, he's hitting the stage. I hope they let him keep his inmate uniform. He needs to come onstage with that, the whole Bruce Leroy [jail attire] and take it off and throw all the jewels on and tear it down for everyone. 'Cause they waiting for him"

Alrighty then. In other Lil Wayne news, his manager, Cortez Bryant, announced the rapper will release an EP, “I’m Not A Human Being” on his 28th birthday, September 27. The digital release will also preview Tha Carter IV set to hit stores by the end of the year.

Monica: Love All Over Me

First of all, how beautiful is Monica? In her "Love All Over Me" video Ms. Monica (who by the way is featured in CreamWorld's summer 2010 issue) employs the help of rapper Maino and basketball player Shannon Brown to play out a dramatic love triangle. You see Maino and Monica are an item and then dude goes to jail...tells her to move on...and she does. He comes out and then...well watch it. But you're gonna be a lil irked at the ending...just warning you.

Ne-Yo's NOT Getting Married

Back in June we reported that Ne-Yo is expecting a baby. Well, since then rumours have been flying that he has also proposed to the mother of his unborn child, Monyetta Shaw, who is about 5 months pregnant. Seems that those rumours are not true. In a recent interview Ne-Yo was asked about his plans to wed and he responded by saying it's all just rumours.
Is he just throwing us off, or telling the truth?

RiRi's Reps Squash Reunion Rumours

Rumors started flying that Chris Brown and Rihanna have begun patching things up after his emotional BET Awards performance. According to Heat magazine, RiRi was touched by Chris's emotion and they spoke on the phone. Well, her camp says, simply, NOT TRUE! Rihanna's rep is denying that the two are back in touch. Annnnd we're done...

It's Not Looking Good for Kelis...

Yikes! I guess this is a perfect example of how karma is a bitch. According to Hits Daily Double, Kelis's album "Fleshtone" is a flop with a capital F! She's apparently moved 7,833 units. How mortifying, considering she did quite a bit of promo for the album. Better luck next time?

Ne-Yo: Beautiful Monster/ Champagne Life

Former CreamWorld coverboy Ne-Yo goes for something epic with his mini-movies for "Beautiful Monster" and "Champagne Life", the first two singles from his upcoming album, Libra Scale. According to Ne-Yo, "Beautiful Monster" is one piece of a long and intricate story. "Beautiful Monster" represents the love interest / arch nemesis in the story of Libra Scale", which the entire album is based off of. Interesting....


Has anyone figured out why Ne-Yo says "beautiful" so weirdly in the video, or is it just me? Hm...just saying. Teehee, Ne-Yo's a superhero fighting bad guys. AND he takes off his hat!!!

Sometimes We Have to Laugh at Ourselves...

Comedian Affion Crockett is back at it! Last time he was channeling Russell Simmons and most recently Chris Brown. Now he takes on Drake, for a second time. The first time was last July when he went in on Drake's infamous Hot97 Blackberry freestyle. Now he parodies Drake's appearance on Tim Westwood's show in England. Affion's got Drake's hand gestures and personality down 100%. Hil-ar-ious.
