Armani has revealed first images from its new campaign, featuring Megan Fox. The fashion house recruited her to replace Victoria Beckham as the new official worldwide spokesmodel. Giorgio Armani had this to say of the beautiful actress, "Megan is young and sexy and has a lot of spirit,". The "Fox" is featured in the Armani underwear and Armani Jeans campaigns for Spring/Summer 2010.

Spring Supra Skytop II

The Supra brand is back in a big way for 2010 with the release of The Skytop II, which come in three new colorways for Spring 2010: Black Suede, White TUF, and Navy/Gold Leather. Jay-Z Speaks on Illuminati & Religion

Yesterday Mr. Shawn Corey Carter was on Angie Martinez's show on Hot97 with Young Jeezy and and Trey Songz. A lot was said but the thing that stands out the most is that Jay-Z addressed claims that he is a "devil worshipper" and part of the Illuminati. Here's what Jay had to say:

“I don’t know where it started. I don’t know where it came from. I really think it’s really silly. For the record, I of course believe in God, but I believe in one God. If people must know my religious beliefs, I believe in one God. I don’t believe in religion. I don’t believe in Christians or Muslims. I think all that separates people. I think it’s one God. I think it’s all the same God, and I don’t believe in Hell. But as far as God, of course I believe in God. Am I a part of some sec or cult? That sounds stupid to me. It’s like ignorant to even say, and umm… I guess that’ll be the last time I address that. It’s ignorant to me.

When asked if he believes that these sort of secret societies exist, Jay replied:

I think there are cliques of friends that control things. I don’t if there is a devil worshipping sect. That’s a little Tom hanks. I believe there are cliques of people that control the world…but that’s just natural process. I’m sure Obama has his people and everything is good but as far as how far people are taking it…

Saying Goodbye to a Legend

Today we say goodbye to an R&B legend. At the age of 59, Teddy Pendergrass passed away in Philadelphia last night. Here is how Black Voices is reporting the legend's passing:

A close family friend confirmed to the BV Newswire that the ailing crooner died tonight. The cause of death is unknown and details are pending. Last summer, buzz started brewing that the ‘Love T.K.O.’ singer was on his deathbed.

At the time, the Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter was hospitalized at Philadelphia’s Bryn Mawr Hospital for about a month, and the nature of his illness was not publicly known. He and his new wife, Joan, addressed the rumors and expressed gratitude to his loyal legion of fans for their support.

“I wish to thank my fans for their prayers, concerns and love,” Pendergrass disclosed in a statement. “While I have faced recent health challenges, I am in the care of my wonderful doctors, wife Joan and family.”

“We ask at this time that you respect our privacy,” the statement continued. “Do know that I’m looking forward to continuing my work at the Teddy Pendergrass Alliance to help people with spinal cord injuries.”

Word in the online world is that Michael Jordan has betrayed Tiger Woods. Sources are buzzing that the basketball great has always respected and cared for Tiger’s wife Elin Nordegren, and it’s killing him to see her in so much pain. Accordingly, Elin’s pals are pushing her to have Michael tell her everything he knows about Tiger’s cheating. And with the Woods-Nordegren marriage shattered, Jordan got word to 30-year-old Elin though friends that he’s there if she needs him, insiders say.
While Jordan’s reps deny the story, an insider divulged, “Right after Tiger crashed his car, Michael reached out to Elin, offering her a shoulder to cry on.”

Major Earthquake Hits Haiti (Developing Story)

A major earthquake rocked Haiti, killing possibly thousands of people as it toppled the presidential palace and hillside shanties alike and left the Caribbean nation appealing for international help. Tuesday's 7.0 magnitude quake is the most powerful to hit Haiti in more than 200 years, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake's epicenter was only 10 miles from Port-au-Prince. About 4 million people live in the city and surrounding area. Aftershocks as powerful as 5.9 rattled the city throughout the night and into Wednesday.

Reports on casualties and damage were slow to emerge due to communication problems. However, Sara Fajardo, a spokeswoman for Catholic Relief Services, told the Los Angeles Times its representative in Haiti said the death toll could be in the thousands. Many countries are rallying around this island nation and donating to the relief efforts. You can also do your part, in several different ways. You can text YELE to 501 501 on your cell phone and $5 will go towards earthquake relief. We are not sure if this applies for Canadian cell phones as well. "On To The Next One Director" Defends His Vid...

We've all heard the accusations: Jay-Z is a Mason and used his video for "On To The Next One" to promote an Illuminati/ Masonic agenda through imagery in the video. The video's dark imagery and gothic undertones even led to numerous YouTube
videos breaking down the visual to expose the seemingly dark forces behind it and Jay's ties to the Illuminati and FreeMasonry.
Now for the first time the director of the video Sam Brown is speaking out to defend his work. In a recent interview Brown says there are no ties to any culture or belief system:

“I think when you're dealing in abstract imagery people are going to want to draw lines between things and make sense of it. However, I've always felt that the viewing public was, in general, extremely visually literate. They don't always want or need things to be spelt out for them. One of the great things about music videos are they can be enjoyed purely visually—it doesn't need to mean anything or make any sense….
There is imagery in this video that is drawn from all over the place. None of it is owned by any one culture or belief system. You can connect anything if you try hard enough, and make it mean anything you want it to.”

He added to Vibe that while Jay gave him a “loose brief” of the concept for the video, ultimately the idea for the video was his.

“He gave me a very loose brief, and made it clear that we should be progressive with the video. For those interested, the idea is actually about a funeral for old imagery and ideas, hence all the gothic and oppressive stuff. I was also trying to contradict the excess of hip-hop videos by making something brutally simple and claustrophobic.”

Michelle Williams Waves Bbye to Papa Knowles

Michelle Williams has officially dissolved her relationship with her manager Mathew Knowles and Music World Entertainment. Her publicist Simone Smalls sent over this official statement from Michelle:

“After much prayer and consideration I have decided to part ways from my management team, Mathew Knowles and Music World Entertainment. From my time in Destiny’s Child to my solo career, I am grateful for everything Mathew and his team has done for me. We’ve shared great success together. However, as I move in a new direction in my career, I felt it was time. I wish Mathew Knowles and the Music World Entertainment family all the best.”

Good move on Michelle's part. She's is returning to Broadway as Roxie Hart in the hit musical musical CHICAGO for seven weeks: Monday, February 8, 2010 through Sunday, March 28, 2010 at the Ambassador Theatre.

WordSpit: Poet's Haiku

Today's hip-hop industry doesn't see too many women directing videos - the big jobs go to the Lil X's or the Anthony Mandler's of the world. But Brooklyn rapper WordSpit chose a new director named Robin Winter to turn his words into a visually pleasing concept for his latest single. In return, Winter and her team came up with a new take on the "day in the life of..." concept, with an introspective theme, which sees WordSpit turning to a pen and a pad to find salvation, and creative cinematography. Congrats to Ms. Winter on a great visual music video debut.

Who Leaves $1-million in a Car? Apparently Usher

*sigh* I have no words. Why the HELL would anyone leave a million bucks worth of jewelry and other ish in a car?! Usher was apparently robbed yesterday. Here's what Fox is reporting:

Atlanta police said Monday that a million dollars in jewelry and electronics were stolen from singer Usher Raymond. The incident happened across the street from one of Atlanta’s busiest shopping malls.
Raymond and a second man told Atlanta police that their vehicle was broken into on Dec. 14 when the pair stopped at an AT&T store near Lenox Mall.
According to the police report, the vehicle was described as a black GMC Yukon. Raymond said and there was over a million dollars worth of jewelry, $50,000 in furs and closing and about $20,000 stolen. A witness said they saw a Chevy Impala with tinted windows drive up next to the SUV. The witness told police a man got out of the Impala and popped open the door to the SUV.
The incident is still under investigation.
