Brittany Murphy's Death Was "Accidental"

The LA coroner has officially released a statement that the death of Brittany Murphy was accidental and could have been prevented. Here's how USAToday is reporting it:
Brittany Murphy, the star of "Clueless" and "8 Mile", died from pneumonia, with prescription drugs and anemia also playing a role, a coroner’s official said Thursday.
The Dec. 20 death of the actress was accidental and likely could have been prevented if Murphy had seen a doctor sooner, Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said. He noted, however, that she did have an appointment scheduled with a physician a few days after she died. Winter declined to specify what types of drugs were involved in her death and said further details would be released in several weeks when the report was completed.
He also said there was no evidence of wrongdoing.

RiRi What Is That You're Wearing?

You see, what had happened was, RiRi got attacked by crazed fans on her way to the stage at the SuperBowl Pepsi Fan Concert so her outfit ended up like this. We kid, we kid! It's an interestin choice, but at least it's a stage outfit. RiRi, please don't let me catch you in that walking down the street or you will ended up in the "Fashion Forward Fashion Fail" posts....and NOT in a good way.

Is Kim K Swagger Jackin Beyonce?

Well, well, well, what do we have here? Kim Kardashian was debuting her signature scent at Sephora in South Beach last night. Only a few days ago, Beyonce also debuted her new perfume in NYC. Kim K chose a red dress, just like Bey had been wearing. *gasp*. I dunno how she could've missed seeing photos of Beyonce...dressed in red...debuting her perfume... It's all a little TOO coincidental for me. What do ya'll think. Am I reading too much into it?

The internet buzzing yesterday after news broke of investigators wanting to question Eve in connection with a foreign money scandal. The Ruff Ryders’ first lady was reportedly tied to an elicit corruption case based on her relationship with former boyfriend Teodorin Nguema Obiang. Eve took it to Twitter to clear her name. Ever Wonder What a 60-year-old Banger Looks Like?

Yes, Natalie Cole celebrated her 60th birthday last night. She looks damn good for her age. And, with all due respect, those implants are holding up nice. Oh pick your jaw up off the floor, I know you were thinking it too. Happy 60th Ms. Cole!

Nicki Minaj Shakes it For David Letterman

Robin Thicke brought Nicki Minaj to David Letterman yesterday to perform their collabo "Shake It For Daddy." I was never really a fan of this song but I had to post cause of Nicki's interesting wardrobe choice. What exactly is that? Also, watch Robin dancing...it's pure comedy.

Rihanna Talks About Witnessing an Exorcism

Ummm I dunno what to make of this one cause to me it kinda sounds like she's making ish up as she goes along. But who knows. RiRi claims to have witness more than one exorcism while growing up in Barbados. She says one even occurred when she was hanging out with her family. Apparently one of the young girls started speaking in a strange voice and the family prayed over her and she screamed bloody murder. Wonder if they ever perform one on RiRi when she goes back to Barbados...you know, her being an Illuminati, devil worshipper and all. I kid, I kid...sort of.

Can You Feel The Heat?

It was a family affair last night in NYC as Beyonce celebrated the launch of her new perfume, "Heat". Beyonce hosted the launch in Union Square, rocking a flirty red dress. Little sis Solange played DJ (is this her full-time gig now?), fellow Destiny Child Michelle Williams came to support and of course her hubby was there. So was Sheri Sheppard, who was TwitPic'in all over the place. Fun times. Will you buy the perfume?

Diddy Wants to School You, Yes YOU!

How would you feel going to school where Diddy is the....principal? No, seriously. Mr. All About The Benjamins isn't content with entertainment, fashion, movies, plays and his other business ventures so now he's ready to open a business academy in NYC. Diddy told CNN:
“I want to have an academy that’s known for building leaders. I feel that’s one of the things I can have an impact on. I want to take on more responsibility. I’m still honestly in search of how I can have the most positive effect that I can have.”

Hmmm not sure how I feel about Diddy molding young minds - one Diddy is more than enough. Is he gonna send em for cheesecake across the Brooklyn Bridge when they mess up? I seriously want to go under cover and see what Diddy would be like as a teacher.

Eminem Back With Kim and...Having a Baby?

Interesting news out of Star Magazine. The publication claims that Eminem has reunited with his longtime love/ mother of his child/ ex-wife Kim. Apparently the magazine talked to some friends of the two, who claim they got back together a few months ago. Of course no one can forget the raps, the allegations, the airing each other out....but who knows? Here's how Star is reporting it:
Eminem, 37, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, and Kim, who's due this Spring, got back together last June said the source.
"When he came into Kim's life again in a romantic way, she was floored," said the friend. "Kim's pregnany is going smoothly." Another friend adds that they're expecting a boy.

We'll just have to wait and see how this one plays out.

Ladies, Does Tyson Beckford Still Have It?

Tyson Beckford was spotted on the beach with a lady friend recently. I gotta say, his body is looking proper, even under a t-shirt. Niiiiice. But ladies, is he still as got as he used to be?

Trey Songz Makes Sure Neighbors Know His Name

Last night in L.A., Trey Songz was making sure everyone knew his name as he and a few celebs came out for the shoot of his "Neighbors Know My Name" video. The Atlantic artist employed the likes of Brian White, D. Wood and her sister (Lil Wayne's artist) Shanelle, as well as Teairra Mari for cameos as nosey neighbors. Could Teairra be the leading lady? Hmmm. Should be a great video to a very sexy song.

This Brought On The Giggles: Taylor Drops a Grammy

Kanye just called, he told me to tell Taylor, "BAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!" Okay seriously, am I wrong to find this just a little bit funny? Maybe I'm heartless. Taylor Swift won a total of 4 Grammys Sunday night. While taking pictures at the press conference after the show, she dropped one of her awards and it broke in two pieces. The play-by-play of the drop is hilarious.

Mars Turns One

A big Happy Birthday is on order to Mars Merkaba, who turned one yesterday. Mars is the daughter of Erykah Badu and Jay Electronica. Her Daddy even TwitPic'd her photo and sent a birthday wish her way. Awwww. Speaking of Erykah, I came across this last night as I was YouToubing some videos. It's old, but I thought I'd share. AMAZING!!!!

We Are The World 25 Years for Haiti

25 years ago Quincy Jones produced "We Are The World" as a charity song for Africa. Yesterday about 100 singers hit the Jim Henson studios in L.A. to re-record the track for Haiti. Quincy Jones is back on production, and recruited Lionel Richie to help him. The 2010 version is called "We Are The World 25 Years for Haiti".
Celebs like Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Wyclef, Jennifer Hudson, Gladys Knight, Akon, Snoop, Pink, Mya, Brandy, Robin Thicke, Tyrese, Trey Songz, Jamie Foxx, Toni Braxton, Kid Cudi, LL, Usher, Keri Hilson, Joel and Benji Madden and many others are all contributing to the track. It'll be interested to see how this is pulled off with such a wide range of voices.

CreamWorld Update

CreamWorld Readers and Supporters,

If you have followed the growth of CreamWorld magazine, you will know that since the publication was founded in 2007, it has made quite a splash on the Canadian (especially Toronto) magazine scene. CreamWorld prides itself on content that is critical, photos that are artistic, design that is innovative and a movement that is trendsetting. CreamWorld magazine also takes much pride in growth, change and a smart business structure. Hence the reason the magazine is currently undergoing a major restructuring, which will result in a more controlled business environment, as well as other important implementations.

This restructuring began shortly after we announced the release of an All-Canadian issue that would showcase up-and-coming Canadian talent, event coverage and other related content. As we have been focused on the business aspect of the magazine, we were forced to, unfortunately, put the All-Canadian issue on the back burner. However, we still plan to release the issue in a free, limited edition, online form. Because much of the content is not time sensitive, we currently don't have a solid release date. But please keep your eyes and ears open for more news on this special online release shortly.

In regards to the next in-store release of CreamWorld, that will occur on April 12, 2010. The magazine will once again appear in Chapters/ Indigo bookstores and at HDS newsstands. The issue will be loaded with celebrity interviews, arts and culture, fashion and many new features. These new features are intended to make the magazine more interactive. We look forward to bringing CreamWorld back from hiatus.

Cheers,

Izabela Szydlo

Ever Wonder Why They Don't Air The Rap Categories...

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. Now, I gotta admit, I was a bit upset when I realized that they aired the "Best Comedy Album" category but only ONE rap category. And then I saw this photo....and I just had to SMH. Now, all jokes aside, it's really not cool, in my eyes, that the "urban" genre is SO huge in today's music industry but doesn't get any mainstream telecast shine from the Grammys. *sigh* C'mon son. Anyways, here's a list of the winners:

*Best Rap Solo Performance: Jay for "D.O.A."
*Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group: Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent for "Crack a Bottle"
*Best Rap/Sung Collabo: Jay-Z, Kayne West and Rihanna for "Run This Town"
*Best Rap Song: Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kayne West for "Run This Town"
*Best Rap Album: Eminem for "Relapse"

Congrats to Jay-Z for basically cleaning out the entire category. *cough* Illuminati *cough*. I kid, well deserved. By the way, as you're reading this, you will realize you don't see Drake's name. Even though he didn't win in either of his categories, he still made Toronto very, very proud. We're sure 2011 will bring a Grammy Drake's way.

The Knowles-Carter Night

So, even though Taylor Swift won the big Album of the Year Grammy last night, Beyonce swept the show with SIX wins! But aside from all that it was an interesting night for The Knowles-Carters. Solange Knowles, Bey's sister, decided to give up her ticket so her little man, Juelz took her place instead. The little boy pretty much stole the show as Rihanna and Jay-Z accepted their award for "Best Sung/Rap Collabo". The two brought Juelz up on stage and as Rihanna finished her speech she picked up Juelz and asked if he wanted to say something, to which he replied, "No thank you." Instant awwww moment. It was super cute. Oh, and aside from the cuteness, the stacking of Grammys by both Beyonce and Jay-Z, Rihanna has a special moment well. As someone on Twitter said, her dream came true...she got to walk down an aisle in a white dress with Jay-Z. LMAO. Best tweet of the night by far. Oh, if you're wondering what Grammys Beyonce snagged:

*Song of the Year for "Single Ladies"
*Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Halo"
*Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for "Single Ladies"
*Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance for "At Last"
*Best R&B Song for "Single Ladies"
*Best Contemporary R&B Album for "I Am...Sasha Fierce"
